TELUGU CRICKET CLUB stormed the summit of Group B in the on-going Computer Point T20 2014 tournament, thanks to excellent winning performances from Eric Ndangamyambi.
The hard working cricketer hit 49 runs and took one wicket in their game against Right Guards cricket club over the weekend at Kicukiro Oval. His 70 run partnership with Manjunath Kare (45) was the biggest blow to Right Guards as they smashed the balls all over the field.
Telugu batted first and posted 192/7 their highest score in the computer point T20 tournament so far.
Don Mugisha’s great bowling heroics of dismissing Right guards star batsmen Joshua Mwanja (12) and Eric Dusingizimana (18) was the turning point that led Telugu’s win.
In the other game, batting first Kigali cricket club scored 155 runs all out in 20 overs. It was youngster Paul Komuezumuheto with best bowling figures of 3/31 that stood out for Impala Titans CC.
Needing 156 to win, Impala titans got off a bad start losing early wickets all because of tight bowling of Harish Patel who later managed to get four wickets.
Telugu is followed by Indorwa and Right Guards at the top of the standings who jointly have 10 points each from three matches played.
In group A, Challengers sit on the summit with 15 points while Victory lie second with 10 points.
