IT was a fun filled evening as comedians under the ‘Comedy Knights’ group gave their fans a free dose of laughter at Kigali City Tower roof top on Saturday.

The comedians entertained fans with rib cracking jokes all evening and one could hardly tell that the show was free of charge as the comedians performed like they had been offered a blank cheque.

The show started at 7:30pm with Arthur Nkusi and Michael Sengazi, the MC’s of the night, warming up the crowd with a few jokes.

They later paved way for Herve Kimenyi who worked the crowd with laughter as he made jokes about the life style of Africans living in Europe.  The tall slender comedian cracked jokes in French, English and Kinyarwanda.

Upcoming singing duo of Credo and Van did not disappoint while performing their song Beef na sitani. Though the crowd was not well versed with the song, they cheered and danced along.

Sick City entertainment was up next and thrilled fans with their amazing dance moves.

All the comedy knights’ crew members came on stage in intervals to crack several jokes.

With the mood already set, it was time for a spectacular performance from the 2013 Primus Guma Guma Superstar winner Riderman.

Amidst wild cheers, Riderman came on stage at 8:45 pm clad in black jeans, a matching black leather jacket and a coffee brown animal print t-shirt.

He did live performances of his old songs Mikoro, Simbuka and later unveiled two of his new songs Piquant and Cugusa that he sang in French, Luganda, English and Kinyarwanda. He will release the new songs this week.

The highlight of the night was Babu’s performance. Babu initiated jokes aimed at his fellow colleagues and was counter attacked by fellow comedian Arthur Nkusi. It was crowned by Babu’s father joining him on stage with a birthday cake and also cracking some jokes for the crowd.

According to Nkusi one of the crew members, the show was aimed at giving back to their fans and to show the youth that they can use their talents to earn a living.

The event ended at 10pm with an after party at club next.
