RWANDA national women football team was thrashed 8-0 by Nigeria at Ahmadu Bello stadium in Kaduna on Saturday.

The win completed a 12-1 aggregate win for Nigeria having won the first leg 4-1 two weeks ago in Rwanda.  The win  saw the Super Falcons qualify for this year’s Africa Women Championship scheduled to take place from October 11-24 in Namibia. The championship will serve as 2015 World Cup qualifiers.

Turkey-based striker Desire Oparanozie netted a hat-trick after full-back Blessing Edoho opened the scoring for the eight-time African champions in the tenth minute.

Azizat Oshoala added a brace, while Esther Sunday and Cecilia Nku were also on target as the She-Amavubi suffered their biggest defeat ever.

Grace Nyinawumuntu’s team was expected  back in the country last evening.
