Ikigeragezo Cyu Buzima, meaning Life’s Trials, was launched on July 3 at Jali Club, Kigali.

The film, produced by Patrick Kamanzi, is about friendship and betrayal.

Having been helped to safety during a war by his friend Paul, played by Willy Ndahiro, Ngenzi swears an oath of loyalty.

Ngenzi however does not live up to his promises. When Paul is given a good job in at the United Nations Development Program, Ngenzi feels jealous and plots to bring him down.

With his sister, Ngenzi falsely claims that Paul raped Ngezi’s sister’s 16 year old daughter. Paul is taken to prison. His wife, children and friends no longer value him.

They too desert him and he is left with no close friend except for the prison mates.

Ngenzi once out of prison does not rest. He seeks revenge. And so the film continues.

However,  the truth reveals itself as Paul prays to God. The plotters found themselves in the prison and Paul is set free. He is given a promotion and later flies to Australia.

Ndahiro says that the film is educative in nature. It covers aspects concerning humanity.

"There should be diginity and true love for people we call friends. Love in the times of danger and love in times of happiness,” says Ndahiro.

The actor explains that patience should also be one part of ones life if he or he has to succeed.

"Being patient in all situations, whether a friend, wife, and your own children have deserted you, and praying to God helps one to succeed in life.”

"Then having faith in one who will help you and trusting in him is another social issue dealt with in the film,” says Ndahiro.

He further says that the message of the film can reach out to the whole world; its message is universal.

"The film aims to teach people who face the same social problems as Paul and how to always go about such problems,” says Ndahiro.

Ndahiro says he has always dreamed of becoming in actor.
"I used to watch movies during my child wood. Sometimes I could feel as if I was the one acting in a certain movie I could have watched.

But I never knew one day I would end up in a field of my interest,” says Ndahiro.
