According to the federation Secretary General, Christian Hatumimana, Congo Brazzaville and DR Congo have confirmed their participation bringing the total number of participating teams to 23.
Hosts Rwanda will enter eight teams-four for men and four in the women’s category.
The other teams are from the neighbouring countries including; Uganda, Kenya, Burundi, Congo Brazzaville and DR Congo.
"We are most probably going to end up with the highest number of participants in the history of this tournament. But we are ready to make it a total success because this is an opportunity to remember our beloved ones killed during the1994 Genocide against Tutsi,” he said.
The tournament is sponsored by Inyange, Ministry of Sports and Culture, National Commission for the Fight against Genocide (CNLG) and Rwanda Development Bank (BRD).
The matches will be played at Amahoro indoor stadium, Kimisagara Youth Sports Centre, University of Rwanda College of Science and Technology and Caisse Socialle courts.
Rwanda’s INATEK and Kenya’s Pipeline are the defending champions in the men’s and women’s categories respectively.
