After beating Kigali Volleyball Club in the two-legged semifinal playoff, Rayon Sports coach Fidele Nyirimana is targeting to win the league final playoffs title on his team’s debut season.

The newly formed Nyanza-based outfit dominated the semi-final which they won comfortably.  Nyirimana says the focus now is to prepare for a clash against former champions APR. "We will face a strong side but we are going to prepare for the finals in the best way possible.

We want to win the title,” said Nyirimana, who led former National University of Rwanda to last season’s league title. Rayon fielded two injured players, Pierre Kwizera Marshal and Olivier Ntagengwa, but Nyirimana is confident that the experienced pair will be fully fit for the finals. Rayon Sports closed the gap on top ranked APR, who have 44 points, three ahead of the ‘Blues’.
