The inaugural ‘ACTION’ tennis tournament reaches the quarterfinals stage today at Rugunga-based Kigali Sports Centre.

The six-day tournament that started on Monday is sponsored by Action Construction Company to a tune of US$3,000, according to one of the organisers, Yannick Uwase Sekamana.

In the quarter-final, top seed Jean Claude Gasigwa face seed three, 

Olivier Nkunda, second seed Dieudonne Habiyambere will be up against fifth-ranked Mathieu Uwizeyimana.

The winner will pocket Rwf300, 000, Rwf200, 000 for the beaten finalist, while the losing semi-finalists will walk away with Rwf100, 000 each. The girls’ tournament is set for next week.
