With his contract running out in July, and with no updates from his boss, the head coach of relegated Esperance FC, Camarade Banamwana is preoccupied by where his future lies.

Banamwana admitted recently in an interview with this paper that at the moment he is not sure of his future as he has not held any formal talks with his bosses at the relegated side. Esperance won promotion to Turbo King national league last season as champions of the second division league, having beaten Gicumbi in the final.

"I have not decided my next move as Esperance authorities are yet to put up the plans for the club’s future, which I will have to examine its pros and cons before I make up my mind,” the former Bugesera Fc coach revealed.

He added that he fears that his club would fall into oblivion as they hardly concluded the league due to financial constraints.

He added, "Before I sign a new deal, I need to assess the club’s financial plan for the next season because when the club performs poorly, it is my name gets discredited.”

Esperance, under Banamwana finished 13th out of 14 clubs, with 21 points; a position which caused the Kimisagara-based team to falter and make an immediate return to the second division.
