Inyemera vs Kamonyi

Women football league five-time champions, AS Kigali host The Winners in the semi-final second leg this afternoon at Kigali Regional Stadium.

And in the other semi-final clash, Kamonyi (formerly Remera- Rukoma) will be up against Gicumbi-based Inyemera at the latter’s ground in Gicumbi district.

In the first-leg, AS Kigali beat The Winners 1-0 at the Red Cross grounds in Gisozi, while Kamonyi eased to a 2-0 win over Inyemera.

"We want to win a sixth consecutive title, but we can’t afford to look beyond tomorrow’s (today) game. We take each game serious, besides we are playing a tough team, who finished second last year,” AS Kigali head coach Grace Nyinawumuntu told Times Sport on Tuesday.

Her counterpart of The Winners Diane Tumutoneshe said, "AS Kigali are the favorites, they are the best team and players have been together for so many years.”

Both the final and third place playoff are scheduled for June 14.
