The bourse was quiet yesterday with no shares traded at all the five counters of listed firms.

This compares to last Monday when the total turnover was Rwf27.7m from 32,200 Bralirwa shares traded in three deals.

The Rwanda Stock Exchange Share Index (RSI) declined by 0.27 points over the past week to close at 259.32 points yesterday from 259.59 points the previous Monday.

Both Bank of Kigali and Bralirwa share prices were unchanged from last Friday’s closing price of Rwf315 and Rwf860, respectively. Kenya Commercial Bank, Nation Media Group and Uchumi Supermarkets shares last transacted at Rwf185, Rwf1,200 and Rwf175, respectively. However, at the end of formal trading hours, there were outstanding offers of 312,600 Bank of Kigali shares at between Rwf314 and Rwf330. The Bralirwa counter had offers of 34,500 shares at between Rwf774 and Rwf860.

There were outstanding bids for 5,100  Kenya Commercial Bank shares at between Rwf175 and Rwf180, while the Uchumi Supermarkets counter had an outstanding offer of 7,300 shares at Rwf173.
