The trio of Eric Nsabimana, Faustin Usengimana and Blaise Itangishaka, who suffered serious injuries last season, will be back in action at the start of next season.

According to the national team physio, Patrick Rutamu, the three have started light drills under his supervision.

Speaking to Times Sport recently, Rutamu said that all the three players are doing physiotherapy, muscle rehabilitation, strengthening, and sport-specific rehabilitation before they can be declared fit to return to full training in their clubs.

"Now they have reached a critical stage in their recovery, and we’re working with them to make sure they are fully fit and ready to return to full training, which should be in August,” said Rutamu.

APR FC and national U-20 midfielder Eric Nsabimana suffered a serious knee injury in August last year, while Rwanda international and Rayon Sports’ defender Faustin Usengimana suffered a devastating double fracture in the right leg on the first day of the season. SC Kiyovu forward, Itangishaka is also nursing a knee injury.
