Last year’s second runners-up ES Kigoma will host University of Rwanda- College of Education (formerly KIE) in the national handball league this morning in Muhanga.
There are only two games this weekend. The other match is in the women’s league where ES Mukingi will be up against University of Rwanda- College of Education also in Muhanga.
University of Rwanda- College of Education lost 8-6 to secondary school team GS Mwendo last Saturday in the opening match of the women’s league.
"Victory will see us top of the table, and that is what we are looking for. All my players are fit and ready for the game,” ES Kigoma head coach Sylvestre Mudaharishema said yesterday.
Ruhango district-based ES Kigoma, who won 31-24 against Nyakabanda last Saturday, are second on the table with 13 points, one point adrift of leaders and reigning champions Gicumbi.
Former champions Police are third with 12 points, while newcomers Saint Aloys Rwamagana occupy fourth spot with 11 points.
