It is over one year since female artist Miss JOJO struck the entertainment industry with her debut single hit "Respect” that went to the top of many radio charts.

The RnB slow song was recorded with balanced rhythm of the keyboard and twanged refrains, which fronted her as one of the most promising artists to emerge in today’s generation.

Propped up by her hit single’s success, Miss JOJO determined to go for her full debut album The Genesis that has been recorded by different producers in different music studios.

Her debut album is not named after her lead song like many albums have been, but includes her hit single "Respect”, a catchy RnB song that tells the story of a mistress seeking respect from her ideal man in an intimate relationship.

The song earned her popularity and has received ample airtime on many FM radio stations.

The album is currently being mastered in Canada helped by her well-wishers that gave a generous hand.

Miss JOJO told The New Times that she plans to launch it by the end of this year. She sings mostly in Kinyarwanda and some English. She seems to be telling the public that women can be successful artists and she herself has graduated from National University of Rwanda.

The only challenge she may face (like many artists in Rwanda) is having strategies and resources to market her products though she has been successful even when she shot one of the best videos in Rwanda.
