Rayon Sports FC is looking to renew the contracts of three star players including forward Cedric Amissi, midfielder Djamar Mwiseneza and defender Hussein Sibomana.

The three players have two months left on their contracts and according to Rayon Sports chairman Theogene Ntampaka, the club  will offer them new deals.

Ntampaka said that Burundian international Amissi as well as Mwiseneza and Sibomana, both Rwandan internationals, have been the team’s best players this season and they deserve new contracts.

The trio is currently away on international duty with their respective national teams for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations first round qualifiers.

Speaking to Times Sport recently, Ntampaka said they plan

to start negotiations with the trio as soon as possible.

"We need to start talks as soon as possible and renew their contracts because they are great players for this club and we need to hold on to them. It is good to retain our good players and add some during the transfer window in order to have a stronger team for next season,” he said.

Ntampaka said that the 2013 league champions did well to finish second this season behind champions APR FC but now have their eyes set on winning the Peace Cup. The team will face Peace Cup holders  AS Kigali in a quarterfinal clash in August.

"We did our best but we missed the title. We can now  focus on doing well in the Peace Cup and Cecafa because they are very important competitions,” he noted.

Meanwhile, last week, Rayon Sports sealed a three-year sponsorship deal with Skol Brewery Ltd worth 182,000 Euros (about Rwf170m).

The 2013 champions will receive Euros 50,000 (Rwf47m) in the first year; Euros 60,000 (Rwf56m) in the second year and Euros 72,000 (Rwf67m) in the third year.

This was the second sponsorship deal that Rayon Sports have secured after Fast Forward shipping company injected Rwf 22m in the club earlier in the season.
