There  was low activity on the Rwanda Stock Exchange yesterday with only 32,200 Bralirwa shares exchanging hands. 

The brewer’s shares were traded at Rwf860 a share, bringing in Rwf27.7m in turnover.

Compared to last week, Bralirwa’s share price was unchanged yesterday, however the volumes and value increased as 21,400 of the firm’s shares worth Rwf18.4m were sold the previous Monday.

At the end of trading hours, the counter had outstanding offers of 73,400 shares at between Rwf860 and Rwf890.

The low activity led to a decline in both weekly turnover by Rwf19.2m, with the Rwanda Stock Exchange Share Index declining by 0.26 points during the week to close at 259.59 points yesterday compared to 259.85 points last Monday.

Meanwhile, the Kenya Commercial Bank, Nation Media Group and Uchumi Supermarkets share prices were unchanged yesterday, trading at Rwf185, Rwf1,200 and Rwf175, respectively.

The Bank of Kigali had an outstanding offer of 235,500 shares at between Rwf316 and Rwf330 each and bids for 600 shares at Rwf310 each.

The Kenya Commercial Bank counter had outstanding bids of 5,100 shares at between Rwf175 and Rwf180 each while the Uchumi counter had an outstanding offer of 7,300 shares at Rwf175 each.
