The head of the federation media wing, Jean Butoyi told Times Sport over the weekend that the awards will be given to respective winners who will be nominees and chosen in the near future.
"The federation in collaboration with the Sport Ministry will reward the most outstanding personalities,” Butoyi said, noting that a football tournament will be organized on the ward-giving day, however; no specific date has been fixed.
According to Butoyi, the best out-filed player will pocket Frw550.000, best goalkeeper and best coach will each pocket Frw350.000.
The nominees for the above categories are set to be held before the end of this month at the federation head quarters in Remera.
Honouring outstanding personalities in the national football league was last noticed in 2005, the year Ferwafa signed a three-year sponsorship deal with Bralirwa thus the name Primus National Football League.
But after the end of the 2005/06 season, the federation failed to honour the various winners of the respective categories, which included the best journalist to report on the league, best out-field player, best goalkeeper, best coach, most promising player as well as most improved team and managers citing out that they had withdrew their longstanding contract with Ferwafa.
