RAYON Sports Club has sealed a three-year sponsorship deal with Skol Brewery Ltd worth 182,000 Euros (Rwf 170m).

The Nyanza-based club chairman Theogene Ntampaka confirmed yesterday that the agreement was signed on Thursday.

The 2013 League champions will receive Euros 50,000 (Rwf 47m) in the first year; Euros 60,000 (Rwf 56m) in the second year and Euros 72,000 (Rwf 67m) in the third year.

Under the deal, the club will also receive equipment such as balls, jerseys and boots among others for both training and competitive matches.

Speaking to Saturday Sports yesterday, an excited Ntampaka said, "We are happy because this sponsorship will help in addressing different financial hindrances this club faces in as far as its management is concerned,”

"We have agreed a three-year renewable partnership. We will soon start to wear our sponsor’s logo so as to help them market their products,” he said.

Ntampaka further added that the partnership with Skol will only apply in the Peace Cup, Cecafa and Caf competitions.

"We will not wear Skol-sponsored jerseys in the National Football League which is currently sponsored by another rival brewery company, Bralirwa through its Turbo King brand,” added Ntampaka.

Rayon Sport’s boost follows another offer from Fast Forward, an international shipping company which injected Rwf22m and equipment into the club.

Rayon Sports lost this year’s league title to champions APR.  With this new support, the club will be targeting to win the Cecafa Kagame Cup and Peace Cup before embarking on early preparations for next season’s league.
