Each week we will have a unique theme from which the artistes will answer a range of questions. This week’s theme is "fun”.  We talked to Hip-Hop star Amag The Black and Rn’B croonerChristopher. The two opened up about their secrets of life and fun.

What’s your favourite colour?

I like yellow

What’s your favourite food?

That would have to be rice and beans

What was your favourite subject in school?

My best subject was Kinyarwanda

What are some of your favourite books?

When I was young, I liked reading Editions Bakame (collection of children’s stories told in Kinyarwanda) but now I like reading news because I can easily access it online. 

What are some of your favourite movies?

I love comedy 

If you were to write a book, what would you call it and what would it be about?

The title would be "The world and people” and it would be about how people relate with the world.

When you were a kid, what did you want to be?

As kids we always have these funny thoughts of what we want to be. I always dreamt that I would be rich but I didn’t know how I would achieve it.

What do you do for fun?

I go out with my friends

If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go?

That would be Iran

What are some things that make you really happy?

Accomplishing something the same way I had planned it.

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet?

I would want to meet Adolf Hitler

What’s your favourite joke?

I don’t have any favourite joke because people come up with new jokes everyday. Anything that makes me laugh is a good joke to me

If you were a type of animal, what would you be and why?

I would want to be a Parrot because it is like human beings; they have the ability to talk

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

I usually want to see if they are confident enough to talk looking straight at me without looking down. 

How did you choose your stage name?

One of my names is Amani which I shortened and added "G”, then I came up with "The black” because people used to tease me about being very black and I decided to use it to show them that I am proud to be black.

What do you like doing for fun?

I like playing video games

What country would you wish to visit? 

I really want to visit Egypt

What type of movies do you enjoy most?

Action movies are my favourite

If you were a type of animal, what would you be and why?

I would want to be a dove. It is so clean and peaceful 

Do you have a colour you prefer? 

I like white. When I don’t have time to look for something to put on, it usually comes in handy. 

What did you want to be when you were young?

I always thought I would be a soldier or a priest

What’s your favourite food?

I love Irish potatoes and beans

If you had to write a book, what would the title be and about what?

I wouldn’t call it a book but rather something like a "love dictionary”. It would be a collection of love advice messages. 

Which subject did/do you enjoy most in school?

I recently studied programming and I immensely enjoyed it. It is so far my favourite subject

Speaking of which, what are your favourite books?

I like controversial books. These books might bring doubt in people’s minds because they usually dispute other people’s ideas but I think they offer a reader with the chance to think and decide what they will believe. 

When are you most happy? 

Nothing brings me greater happiness than when I successfully achieve what I set out to do

What’s the first thing you notice about people?

That has to be shoes. 

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet?

There are many people but my top two would be Francois Mitterand and Adolf Hitler

Do you have any favourite joke? 

Not really, it depends on what is even considered a joke but I enjoy Kevin Hart and Eddie Murphy.

I have fun when I am with my friends, cracking jokes and not stressing with work.
