Rwanda’s inflation declines to 2.72%
Rwanda’s consumer price index (inflation) has reduced to 2.72% in April down from 3.43% the previous month. This is according to the new report released by the National Institute of Statistics today.

Rwanda’s consumer price index (inflation) has reduced to 2.72% in April down from 3.43% the previous month. This is according to the new report released by the National Institute of Statistics today.
According to the report, all urban general indexes were established at 124.5 reflecting an increase of 0.65% over the previous month -- which was 123.7.
The underlying inflation rate (excluding fresh food and energy) increased by 0.36% if compared to the previous month, and increased by 2.29% on annual change.
The annual average underlying inflation rate was established at 3.2% in April 2014 down from the previous month’s 3.4 %.
