As the African continent pushes ahead with plans for a stronger services industry to help increase economic growth, we cannot forget that most African countries' GDP is still heavily dependent on agriculture.
This is a sector that's currently aiming for economic transformation through value addition, but it is also a sector that's essential for nations' self-sufficiency.
As we all know, the latter is the first step towards real autonomy, so definitely an important focus of the World Economic Forum on Africa.
