THE Amavubi assistant coach Andre Cassa Mbungo has urged Rwandans and the football fraternity to unite and work together for the good of the national team.
Mbungo was speaking during a news conference held yesterday at Ferwafa headquarters. He said that supporting instead of criticising Amavubi players will help the country to reach far in the 2015 Africa Nations Cup qualifier.
"If we need to develop our football and get better results, let’s work together as a team. Let’s accept our mistakes by striving to make amendments. By doing so, we will register positive results. Everyone from the national team, leaders, coaches, media and supporters need to work collectively. This unity is needed to reach where we want to be and I am sure if we work together we will achieve better results,” Mbungo explained.
He noted that the country boasts of good and talented players, who can go far in the continental campaign to the 2015 Morocco Afcon qualifications.
The Amavubi team started preparations for the May 18 match against Libya yesterday at Kicukiro turf. Twenty five players including four professionals will be engaged in a friendly match against Botswana on Tuesday.
