APR MEN’S volleyball club extended the lead at the summit of the national volleyball league after registering two vital wins over UR Huye and Lycee de Nyanza over the weekend.

APR MEN’S volleyball club extended the lead at the summit of the national volleyball league after registering two vital wins over UR Huye and Lycee de Nyanza over the weekend.
APR thrashed defending champions UR Huye 3-0 before defeating Lycee de Nyanza 3-1 in the second game of Group A. Lycee de Nyanza also snatched a 3-0 win over UR Huye.
In group B, Inatek also managed to grab two wins against St. Joseph 3-1 and College of Education 3-1 while Kigali Volleyball Club thrashed GSOB and Christ Roi 0-3 each respectively.
In Group D, Rusumo High School suffered a 3-2 loss to Kirehe before bouncing back to defeat Umubano Blues Tigers 3-0 in the second group game.
APR sits at the top of the volleyball standings with 36 points in 12 matches played with Inatek sitting second with 30 points. KVC is placed third position with 28 points while Rayon Sports, who have played nine games, are fourth with 24 points.
Meanwhile, Rwanda Revenue Authority and APR edged closer to the finals after winning the first leg of the semi finals in the Play-offs stage of the women category.
Rwanda Revenue beat St Alloys 3-0 while APR thumped Ruhango 3-1 in the matches played over the weekend. The second leg gets underway this coming weekend.
