AS FAR defender Emmanuel Imanishimwe has allayed fears that he is safe from powerful earthquake that struck Morocco on Friday night.
At least 1,037 people have been killed so far. State television quoted the Interior Ministry as saying that more than 1,200 people were injured in the magnitude 6.8 quake in Morocco’s High Atlas Mountains.

Imanishimwe stays in AS FAR’s hometown Rabat, a city is located 323 km away from Marrakesh which was hit by the quake the most.
The Rwanda international was left devastated by the lives lost in the quake but he reassured Rwandans that he is ‘fine’.
"Yes, I&039;m fine but the earthquake here was so terrible. But we are fine and nothing wrong happened to any of the players in our team," the former Rayon Sports defender told Times Sport.
"So far the situation is different because it's gone and I hope it does not happen again.”
Players are currently on international break but Imanishimwe said that the recent quake won’t stop teams to continue their training sessions.
"Yes, we are training, it’s no problem. I don’t know about what those who have matches think, but I don’t see any problem stopping us from training," he said
Imanishimwe, 27, joined AS FAR in 2021 in a $430,000 (about Rwf430 million) move from APR FC. The left back is one of key players for Amavubi.
