Yes, Rwandan students abroad are a major resource

Editor,

Refer to Yves Sabato’s Letter to The Editor, entitled "Give Rwandan students abroad more coverage” (The New Times, May 1). I entirely agree and keenly support Mr Sabato’s suggestion and initiative. Those home 'resources' undergoing upgrading abroad deserve to be known, appreciated, and awaited for full 'exploitation' both among themselves and by comrades back home: either through expert services they would provide, and/or through their respective master mentorship needed by many and in various domains.

What such unknown wealth, presently little enjoyed at its fullest capacity, with the risk of thus perpetuating the brain drain, and/or the rampant wastage and under-utilisation clearly noticeable in Rwanda and elsewhere in the so-called Third World countries.
