Residents of Muhima Sector, Nyarugenge District were on Thursday morning were left in shock after they found a dead body of a man slumped on the floor just outside a pub known as Club Next.

Police identified the deceased as Faradji Ndatimana, a taxi moto rider who hails from Rubavu District.

Supt Modeste Mbabazi, the Kigali Police spokesperson, said investigations are ongoing to ascertain the cause of the death. He said the body has since been taken to Kacyiru Police Hospital for postmortem.

"I woke up at around 5:30a.m, only to find a lifeless body of someone who must have been in his late 20s,” said a shocked Ephraim Majyambere, a resident of the area.

"We are not sure whether he was assaulted or died of natural causes, all we know is that the body was found with bruised lips,” Ibrahim Kamana, another area resident, told The New Times.
