APR FC head coach Vincent Mashami believes his side has the edge of winning this season’s Turbo King Football League title when they host AS Muhanga in the final round of the season on Sunday.

The 13 league title holders will be crowned champions if they can win their remaining final fixture of the season against AS Muhanga due on Sunday at Kigali Regional Stadium.

A win for the military will see APR claiming their 14th league title. Currently, APR stands atop of the league table with 62 points from 25 matches played this season.

Mashami’s outfit registered a 2-1 win over Espoir in last week’s match played away in Rusizi with Jean Baptista Mugiraneza and Eric Rutanga scoring vital goals for the military side.

"AS Muhanga will put up a tricky challenge but our plan is to settle for nothing less than a win on Sunday. We don’t want to make any mistakes; we have to prepare well for this match,” Mashami told Times Sport yesterday

"The spirit and mood among players is positive and everyone is roaring to go and win Sunday’s match so as to grant APR FC and its fans this season’s league title,” added Mashami.

Arch rivals Rayon Sport is two points behind APR but any slip up for APR can easily hand Rayon Sport the trophy if they win their respective match against Musanze on Sunday.
