Urban Boys in Nigeria to record music

Salax Award-winning dynamic trio Urban Boys are in Nigeria to record songs with some of the country’s renowned musicians. They intend to work with Nigeria’s Iyanya, Davido, Flavour and Wizkid.

Salax Award-winning dynamic trio Urban Boys are in Nigeria to record songs with some of the country’s renowned musicians. They intend to work with Nigeria’s Iyanya, Davido, Flavour and Wizkid.

The group left for Nigeria on April 24. Upon their arrival, Urban Boys joined the Rwandan community in Lagos to commemorate the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. They performed their latest song- Turibuka Twiyubaka, among other songs.

Urban Boys are Rwandan R&B/Afro-Pop group composed of James Manzi (Humble Jizzo), Safi Niyibikora (Safi Lee) and Muhammed Nshimiyimana (Nizzo). 

The group has had a rapid rise to fame, starting in 2008 when it was formed. The group has since released hits such as Icyicaro, Ishyamba, Sindi indyarya, and many more. 

This dynamic trio is known for their extremely well choreographed performances and several great hits.

The group has more than 70 singles and three albums. In 2013, Urban Boys won four Salax Awards in the following categories; Artiste of the Year, Best Male Artiste, Best Group and Best Video.

The group sings in Kinyarwanda, Kiswahili and English.
