EWSA stalwarts should not shift blame

Editor,

Refer to the story "MPs grill EWSA officials over billing system” (The New Times, April 23). Lack of skills on the part of EWSA employees is not an excuse as the first duty of the manager is to build the capacities of their employees. It is time for EWSA to be serious in recruitment and in management of its personnel.

The management should also remember that it’s less expensive to prevent than to cure.

The billing system is not an issue as long as our young brains at kLab can develop it at cheaper price. But because some guys have to get ‘commission’ on the deal, they went for Oracle without even knowing how to use it.

I think that the top management of EWSA should follow David Moyes (the recently sacked Manchester United unproductive coach). Ten months was enough time for Manchester United to realise that Moyes was not the right man for the job, yet the EWSA leadership have had far more time.
