Editor,

I THANK Mr Jean de la Croix Tabaro for his courage to recount his own ordeal, (See "The New Times reporter’s eye witness account of the Genocide as a child”, Sunday Times, April 20), during the Genocide against the Tutsi.

When I started reading the article, I felt saddened and started crying. It’s the same story that every Rwandan at his age might tell if given an opportunity.

One thing that I thought the writer could have done is to at least tell us a key message that all this has left him, and maybe his opinion on how young people should ensure that the genocide never happens again.

Dear Mr. Tabaro, I salute your courage and hope you will continue telling us your intriguing story and how it made you who you are today.

Peter, Rwanda
