Uchumi Supermarkets chief executive officer, Jonathan Ciano (C) with officials of Champion Investment Corporation (CHIC), tour a business complex on which the Kenyan retailer will establish its first store in Kigali.

The retail chain yesterday signed a tenancy agreement with CHIC, the developers of the complex on Muhima hill. CHIC chairman Tharcisse Ngabonziza signed on behalf of his company while Ciano signed for Uchumi. City of Kigali vice mayor, Alphonse Nzeyimana witnessed the signing. (John Mbanda)
