Dear editor,
I must say that the on going program to give children early experience with computers is a very important move.
I have been noticing with great concern that some old professors and doctors find it very difficult to manipulate a computer, just because they got the exposure at a very old age.
In fact, my professor used to call me to help him with some work on the computer, a thing I could never understand until I knew why. I came to notice that he was suffering from ‘techno phobia’.
You can imagine such an intelligent person failing to use his intelligence to operate a computer.
The issue is simple; exposure and consequently experience.
If our learners are able to access computers, then we can be sure of a computer literate society in future.
