Forward Zawadi Usanase has committed her future at AS Kigali WFC after penning a two-year contract extension that will keep her at the club until September 2025, Times Sport has established.
Usanase, 23, has enjoyed a successful spell with the City of Kigali-powered team since she joined the club from Rubavu-based side Scandinavia in September 2020 on a three-year deal. During her stay, she helped the club win two league titles, two Peace Cup trophies and one Super Cup.
The Rwanda international became a free agent after her contract expired on September 1 and a number of clubs were chasing her signature until the Rwandan women’s league champions renewed her contract on a two-year deal.

Since joining AS Kigali, the forward has been a regular member of the national team. She is now part of the 25-woman squad that head coach Grace Nyinawumuntu summoned to prepare for Ghana clash in a CAF Women’s AFCON qualifier slated for September 18, in Kigali.
