Rwanda football governing body, Ferwafa is in talks with Eco-bank and SuperSport to sponsor the Peace Cup, which will reach the quarter-finals stage on Wednesday.

"We are doing everything possible to get sponsors for the competition, which will continue up to next season. We need to secure sponsors for the Cup because we need to facilitate some teams that do really need it,” Ferwafa president Vincent Nzamwita told Times Sport yesterday.

Last year’s Peace cup  competition was sponsored by Imbuto Foundation through its fight against malaria unit, hence the change of name to Peace Cup against Malaria.

Previously, MTN Rwanda used to be the competition’s title sponsors. AS Kigali are the defending champions.
