Rwanda Cricket Association (RCA) will hold a genocide commemoration tournament in May, officials have said.

The cricket fraternity will also visit the Ntarama Memorial Centre.

The tournament is in line with the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Sports and Culture urging all national sports federations to organise events to remember the sportsmen and women, who were killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.

Last year, the cricket fraternity visited Ntarama Memorial Centre and helped Genocide Survivors.

During last year’s events, the cricket fraternity used the opportunity to introduce the game in Ntarama area in Bugesera district.
