Ombudsman’s corruption list should include big fish

Editor,

REFERENCE IS made to the article, "Ombudsman releases list of corrupt persons”, published in The New Times on April 11.

That list contains only ordinary people. Are these people the only ones involved in all corruption cases the Ombudsman’s office identified? Where is the list of the government institution’s managers? Do these ordinary people only engage in corruption among only themselves?

If this is the case, do you think the consequences of corruption done by the ordinary citizens is much severe than that perpetrated by top government managers who cause major public projects to fail?

As citizens, we need the Office of the Ombudsman to be much fairer and transparent as it’s supposed to be.

So, please, if you really didn’t do this to show the public that you’re doing something on the matter, release the entire list – with names of the big fish.
