NDAYISABA Fabrice Foundation (NFF) formely called Eto’o foundation has organised a visit to Gisozi memorial centre today to pay respects to the victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. 

Over 60 NFF mourners will meet at the Integrated Polytechnic Regional Centre (IPRC) Kicukiro from where they will board buses to Gisozi. 

The youth sports centre spearheaded by  18-year-old Fabrice Ndayisaba is organising the memorial programme for the fourth year running having started their inaugural event in 2010. 

The visit to the memorial centre will include over 60 children and few parents of the children plus officials from the invited institutions, namely Ibuka, CNLG, Ministry of Sports and Culture and Rwanda Football Association (Ferwafa). 

"I’m happy to organise such a programme for children, most of them born after 1994, it is our country’s history and it will live on forever. It is time for us to learn from what happened 20 years ago and choose a different direction, different from our forefathers who engaged our brothers and sisters into satanic acts,” NFF founder Ndayisaba said on Tuesday. 

The foundation is also planning a football memorial tournament in early June at IPRC Kicukiro grounds. 

Ndayisaba foundation which is made up of over 150 children (110 boys and 40 girls) aged between 5 to 18 years was established on September 1, 2009. 

They engage in different sports and cultural events namely football, volleyball, basketball and traditional and modern dancing troops.
