Rwanda Volleyball national team coach, Paul Bitok has named the four players including two boys and two girls to represent the country in the 2014 Youth Olympic Games qualifiers slated for April 11-15 in Ghana.
They include Justin Munyinya and Sylvestre Ndayisaba for the boy’s qualifiers, while Seraphine Mukantambara and Lea Uwimbabazi will represent in the girl’s category.
The team started intensive training last week ahead of the tournament. The qualifiers will be the ticket for six African teams in both genders to take part in Youth Olympic Games which will be held in Nanjing, China from August 16 to 28.
The team will depart for Ghana on April, 10. The qualifiers are being organised by the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB).
This will be the first time beach volleyball will be included in the Youth Olympics after volleyball debuted in the first edition in Singapore in 2010.
