NEWLY FORMED Vision chess club started training over the weekend at Greenwich Hotel. The club is the newest member of Rwanda Chess Federation (Ferwade).

It has 16 players but is open to newcomers, according to the club’s vice president Tom Ben Zimulinda. "We all love Chess, we have been playing chess for a long time but none of us has ever participated in any Chess competition at national level. Now that we have joined the Federation, we hope for the better.”

"The biggest challenge we face now is lack of training venues over the weekend. We are looking forward to having our own place for routine practices,” said Zimulinda, who added that the club is also organising another competition next month.
