Editor,
ALLOW ME to react to the article, "World Bank injects more funds in roads, agriculture sectors” (The New Times, March 25).
This is a good sign of progress. With further improvement in the roads sector, which is relatively well developed than in most East African countries, Rwanda will be a major investment attraction in the region.
Rural Sector Support Project (RSSP) has been one of the most successful projects in Minagri (Ministry of Agriculture), therefore we expect value for money from their (Minagri) team.
It is interesting to observe how the World Bank always gives further funding to institutions which have been exemplary.
I think there is cause for a vote of thanks to RSSP for the continued efficient rural development schemes, especially the valley dams which have been a lifeline for both livestock and crop farmers during the dry seasons.
