Youth registering for the Start-up Competition on the Rwanda Development Board ICT Bus at the ongoing Entreneurship Caravan 2014, which aims at promoting entrepreneurial skills among the youth, especially students in institutions of higher learning.
It is organised by Educat, an entrepreneurship support not-for-profit organisation and Rwanda Development Board. The winner of the competition will bag Rwf1m. Other prizes up for grabs include access to training and mentoring at Educat, among other prizes.
The campaign, code named "Business Opportunities on the Move”, was in Rubavu District yesterday and will be in Musanze today and end the week in Huye District on March 28. The entrepreneurship countrywide drive will end in Muhanga District on March 31.
The youth were excited by the varied business ideas they could turn into big income generating projects. Some of the ideas included chicken rearing, photography, bio gas, among others. Educat advised them not to rush as they turn the ideas into projects.
