Indigo International, a business development and research firm, has been awarded the Best Consultancy firm Award for 2013, thanks to its outstanding performance and professionalism. Center for Economic Understanding and Social Studies was the second overall winner, while Imanzi Company was third. 

The firms received the accolades at the just-ended Consultants Week 2014 in Kigali last Friday. 

John Bosco Kanyanguga, the Trade Links boss, bagged the Best Young Consultant award and the Best Female Consultant accolade went to Rebecca Ruzibuka, a senior consultant at Africa Development Consultancy. 

The annual awards are organised by the Rwanda Organisation of Professional Management Consultants (ROPC) to recognise consultants and consultancy firms that excel in professionalism and general performance (as guided by ROPC) code of conduct. 

Jean Marie Vianney Makuza, the ROPC chairman, said the winners were voted for by members through an online poll. 

While presiding over the awards ceremony, Murekezi Anastase, the Minister for Public Service and Labour, called on consultants to always conduct their work ethically and avoid acts that undermine the profession.

Meanwhile, the Rwanda Organisation for Professional Consultants (ROPC) and GAERG, a group that supports Genocide survivors, have signed a deal, where ROPC will assign 20 young professionals supported by GAERG to selected companies for a one year mentorship programme, according to Jean Marie Vianney Makuza, the chairman.
