Editor,

THIS IS with reference to the article, "Entrepreneurship campaign kicks off”, published in The New Times issue of March 19.

Please allow me to share with your esteemed readers that Thailand’s NISCO Group of Companies will be supporting entrepreneurship development in Rwanda.

Mrs. Narierut Pantong, Managing Director, Nisco Group of Companies, Bangkok, has arranged for Elina Uwizeyimana to attend a six-month training in Thailand, fully hosted by her company.

The training and entrepreneurship skills acquired by Ms Uwizeyimana will enable her to set up the business operations for the Nisco Group in Kigali as an independent profit centre. This will further help in job creation for many Rwandans.

As Pantong explained, what she is doing for Rwanda is "not just for business” but with a genuine love for the people of this great nation.

Pantong was one of the delegates who attended the "Rwanda Calling 2014” event held in Kigali in January 2014. The country made such a positive impact on her that she not only registered her company with the Rwanda Development Board (RDB) but has also launched an entrepreneurship development programme to help Rwandan youth.

The initiative of the NISCO Group is much appreciated and it will go a long way in establishing a strong bond between Rwanda and Thailand.
