ADRA doing a commendable job

Dear editor,
I was impressed to read in The New Times report this week, which said that ADRA is training teachers to handle children with special needs. There are many children with disabilities whose parents treat as second-class children.
Parents with such children should not discriminate aganist them. All children should be treated equally.
The mature vulnerable people also need to be treated as equal citizens and involved in development programmes without being left behind.
It is a misconception to assume that the vulnerable are unable to perform because disability is not inability.
