UNITED NATIONS and G5 countries had no interests in condemning, let alone stopping, the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi (it was only much later that they admitted that what had happened was genocide). 

The truth is: The same way they turned a blind eye in 1994, no powerful country wants to get involved with the quest for justice for the victims of the Genocide. 

No one really seems interested! That’s why ICTR has fallen short of delivering true justice. 

The international system is synonymous with double standards.

Would any of the G5 nations remain quiet if this had happened to their nationals? Therefore, let’s not blame the presiding judge alone since this is an agenda of the world’s super powers.
