The brewer sold 25,000 shares at between Rwf865 and Rwf875 each and closed at Rwf865, translating into a decline of Rwf10 compared to last Monday’s closing price. The firm realised Rwf21.8m in turnover.
Bank of Kigali counter, on the other hand, traded a total of 1,100 shares, realising Rwf363,000 turnover.
The bank also shed Rwf2. It traded and closed at Rwf330 a share yesterday compared to Rwf332 recorded the previous Monday.
The decline in stock prices of the two dominant firms in the market led to a decline in exchange Share Index by 2.8 points, which closed at 261.30 compared to 264.1 points last Monday.
The total market turnover yesterday was Rwf22.2m.
The counter had an outstanding offer of 26,400 shares at Rwf890 each and outstanding bids of 21,700 shares at between Rwf865 and Rwf875 each.
Kenya Commercial Bank shares last transacted at Rwf 185 while Nation Media Group and Uchumi Supermarket shares last transacted at Rwf1,200 and Rwf175 respectively.
The government bond, FXD1/2014/3YRS recorded bids worth Rwf100.5m at between Rwf99.6 and Rwf101 each with an offer of Rwf 3m at Rwf105.3 each.
