Editor,
I CONCUR with Ambassador Eugène-Richard Gasana, Rwanda’s Permanent Representative to the UN in the article, "Remarks by Rwanda Permanent Representative to the UN”, published in the Sunday Times on March 16.
The international community has apparently no will to fight the génocidaires. These are killers which every country should have the responsibility to eliminate.
Can this be tolerated by any of those super powers or their allies, to have their enemies at door steps and simply look at them or wait for them to cause havoc?
This is a clear indication that what happened in 1994 (the Genocide against the Tutsi) was well known to the whole world but they all turned a deaf ear and they simply became spectators.
It is us the Rwandans that stopped the genocide and will continue to defend ourselves.
