Burundi dropped five places to 129th position in the world and 38th in Africa.
Uganda, who lost 2-1 to former African champions Zambia, dropped one place to 85th in the world and 19th in Africa. Ethiopia is the second ranked team in the region after moving one place to 100th in the world and 27th in Africa.
Kenya dropped one place to 109th in the world and 31st in Africa. Tanzania dropped one place to 117th in the world and 34th in Africa, while Sudan moved one place to 122nd in the world and 36th in Africa.
Cote d’Ivoire remains the top ranked African country in the world in 24th position, with Algeria occupying second slot in 25th position.
World champions Spain remained top of the global list, with Germany, Argentina, Portugal, Colombia, Uruguay, Switzerland, Italy, Brazil and Belgium occupying the remaining top nine places.
