APR 74-62 REG
Highflying shooting guard Demarcus Holland posted a team high 22 points to help APR overcome defending champions REG in 74-62 Game 2 win on Sunday night, September 3, to extend their best-of-seven playoff finals series to 2-0.
The American-born shooting guard added eleven rebounds, as APR took a 2-0 series lead in the best-of-seven finals, having won Game 1 68-62 on Friday, September 1.

APR had to bounce back from losing first quarter 20-12 to winning the second 24-16 to tied the game 36-36 at the break.
And, coming for the second half, it was the army side who had the last word on the game as their dominant display rewarded them a 16-13 third quarter win before taking the fourth quarter 22-13 to cement the win.
While Holland put on a game-winning show, power forward William Robeyns contributed 13 points while point guard Jean Jaques Wilson Nshobozwabyosenumukiza added 11 points.
Despite REG losing the game, point guard Adonis Filer led the scorings, posting a game high 23 points while Pascal Niyonkuru contributed 15 points.
The two local basketball heavyweights face-off in Game 3 on September 6 at BK Arena, with REG looking for a crucial win that would bring them back in contestion, while a victory for APR would put them in pole position to win their 14th championship, their very first since 2009.
