Fans were over the moon early this week to learn that struggling boy group, Family Squad, will be making a comeback this month.
News of Family Squad’s return is definitely exciting, but it’s also bittersweet. The group has been quiet for almost four years, and since then, groups like Urban Boys and Dream Boys and very many solo artistes have joined the industry which is now rather competitive compared to the previous years.
The momentum Family Squad gained with their Tuve ku mihanda hit many years ago has virtually vanished, leaving the group forgotten.
Family Squad was probably the leading pop group in the country in the mid-2000’s, with hits such as One Blood, Zuena and others, before the group vanished.
Let’s hope that this time around, Family Squad finally gets it right and makes a permanent comeback.
The boy band is composed of Spaxx, Nazil, Simchezo and Mosad. The group recently released the videos of its two singles - Hard to say and Umenikologa
Spaxx said: "Family Squad is back to stay. We can’t wait to perform for our fans—we know they’re still there and ready to support us.”
