REFERENCE IS made to the story, "Container fees worry Rwanda clearing agents at Mombasa” (The New Times, March 3).
It is unfair that some fees are paid by only some, which is against the spirit of the agreement signed by the concerned parties. If it is true that some Kenyans do not pay the cleaning fee, then this should be corrected because it makes the competition unfair. Any attempt of protectionism in this regard should be discouraged.
Rwandan businesses, like everybody else, have the right to complain whenever things are not going right.
I encourage Rwandans and other parties to the agreement to keep watching and denounce all practices that are against the spirit of the agreement.
